 General Meeting Speaker

Carol Penfield, M.S., NPc..addressed the General Meeting about the many strategies that women can adopt to create a healthier style of living. Ms. Penfield has a local practice that provides consultations on personal fitness and lifestyle medicine.

Her presentation elicited many questions and comments from members. The responses indicated that members are eager to learn more about dietary changes and fitness routines to benefit their health.

American Heritage Interest Group

Deborah Clark and Susan Simpson organized a special tour of several of the houses comprising the Cape Cod Modern House Trust in the Wellfleet and Truro area with Betsy Bray and Director of the Trust, Peter McMahon. Peter gave the background of the history of mid-century modern architecture and Cape Cod based designs based on functionality, thrift, being one with nature and indigenous American practices.
